SS has been a touring band around the Mid-West since 2006. Throughout this time, they've had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many amazing bands including: The Cult, Stone Sour, Drowning Pool, Black Light Burns, Opus Dai, Dirty Little Rabbits, The Feds, and others. This talented group of musicians has seen their music featured on MTV network television, Time Warner Cable ON-Demand, national radio programming, and has their music available worldwide with Best Buy Co. and iTunes.
SS has released 2 albums: The Gilded Age and Capgras Syndrome. Presently the band is working on an EP release with Producer Josh Barber (Josephine Collective, The American Life) with mixing being done by Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount (Cartel, Mayday Parade, Every Avenue) at Tree Sound Studios in Atlanta, Georgia.

Fueled by the fire to literally change music from the ground up, Sidewise has driven themselves to create a sound that pushes the boundaries of modern rock to the next level. Steadfast and determined to go beyond the soulless dribble oozing from mainstream radio, Sidewise engineered their sound to invoke the innermost raw emotions out of their audiences. This pure, palette-pleasing sound was forged by their own slave driver, for 3 years, a six-man group crammed in a 3-room house, a tight and efficient hive created out of the need to perfect their Sidewise image and sound. They are quite simply a group of the closest and most amicable friends that set each other on creative fire, to procure something unheard and unseen, yet, completely necessary in these years of a sedintary and stagnant music industry. Their drive coupled with an unyielding work ethic led them to release two full-length albums and one DVD/EP in less than three years. The Sidewise sound was universally appealing and immediately caught fire across Kansas City's rock scene. The Kansas City Star hailed them as having "Enough ball-busting vitriol to bring down a small army"; their three releases have also led them to win numerous local rock awards. The energetic, captivating live performances of Sidewise have earned them opening slots for many national acts including Machine Head, Life of Agony and Les Claypool. Since their homegrown beginnings in 2004 Sidewise has played over 400 shows across over a dozen states throughout the Midwest. They recently released their third Full length album "Acrasia" in Sept of 2009.
High While Driving
High While Driving is not so much a name for the band as it is a description of how the band wrote our first album. The members of High While Driving, under the spell of providence, all converged at the center of the Universe one high evening; (must have fatalistically inhaled the same brand of smoke at the same place on the space/time continuum?)
There we were ordering shots of life from the club called ,Fashion Galaxy, on planet Parallel when we all simultaneously looked at each other and knew we all needed to go for a drive together. Never having met and with no exchange of words, it became obvious we were meant to collide. Aside from the fact we all had the same hair cuts, hid our eyes behind the same sets of futuristic shades and wore the same obnoxious, yet devilishly and dashingly vibrant, sexy suit coats, there was a tune going through all of our heads at once. That tune didn't need to be hummed or said at the time, we just knew we were all grooving on the same wave. In unison, at the mercy of fate, we all turned our attention toward the lonely vixen posted up at the end of the bar. It came to pass that we had all taken her for a drive at separate times that night. The beautiful vixen peered at us, took a shot of death and fell to the floor. Our mother had died giving birth to our new son. On that note, we 86d ourselves from the menu at that venue. We hoped in the car, lit up the smoke and unified in song. As we traversed the galaxy through a torrential meteor shower, Delta Mike banged out the beat on the dash board as I, Sierra Foxtrot, came in with the vocal line… I'm on my planet damn it, don't you enter with expectations. Charile Mike and Bravo Bravo hummed out the sweet acoustic rhythms and in came Bravo Gulf with the funky bass line and Juliet Kilo with the Electric Guitar. As we drove to the studio, the album wrote itself this way.
Then as the cosmic clock struck twenty-five hundred hours on the dot, we landed at the 660 Studio where microphones and musical equipment waited for us like Peter at the gates of Heaven. In one session we banged out the 10 tracks we had just written on the drive. The album would be called the Beautification of Squalor. We were High While Driving and nothing could change that. The music and the melody had been engraved in the annals of history eternally. That is the story of High While Driving, not just music, but an epic experience. See and listen for yourself, and only then will you believe.
And by the way, there was only one batch of that green we smoked that night, and you would have to travel light years to find soil fertile enough to produce more!

( Freddie Aguirre, Kara Liz, and Pancho Javier of Six II Chaos and Joey Bahamundi and Michael Helms of BEAR) who are eager to perfrom for the masses and seduce the Kansas City music scene into joining the party.
This serves as the start for what is sure to be a roller coster ride of debauchery, decadence, and above all enriching music.
